So today I got a package from Amazon. I hadn't ordered anything so I was confused. I opened it up to find three rectangle gift wrapped boxes. I opened them up and it turns out my Aunt ordered me a bunch of stuff as a graduation gift.

She got me the book "Generation Kill" and the book "One Bullet Away: The Making of a Marine Officer."

On top of that, she got me the DVD box set of the HBO mini-series Generation Kill based off the books. Now, I've watched all seven episodes atleast five times a piece and I absolutely LOVE it. I'm stoked to start the book.

Anyone here ever seen it? Thoughts?

I've read both and they are great reads. I prefer Generation Kill because its a bit more unfiltered (OBA is written by one of the key players in Generation Kill, Nathaniel Fick).

Check out the HBO series of Generation Kill as well. One of the best HBO series that no one talks about.

Yeah, I've watched each episode fo Generation Kill about five time a piece and I'm workin on my sixth time through. Generation Kill is a great read so far and yeah, the reason I requested OBA is because I recognized the name of Lt. Fick. I'm excited to read it.
